Wismar is a beautiful Hanseatic city on the Baltic Sea with a unique maritime flair. The special feature of Wismar is its red-brick-Gothic architecture. Among the most important sights of the Wismar skyline are the water art, the classical town hall, remains of baroque fortifications and the beautifully preserved merchants' houses. The annual harbour festival celebrates and honours the wonderful maritime history of the town.
